Anita Nunes Leite is an IDCORE student based at FloWave working towards her EngD. The project Anita is undertaking is helping to grow the testing capabilities at FloWave by implementing a recently developed method for simulating wind loads on floating offshore wind turbine models. She is developing a system that can apply dynamic loads to scale wind turbine models in real time using a winch.

Anita grew up in Portugal where she originally trained as an environmental engineer. Before joining FloWave Anita worked for the NHS as an energy and waste manager. Anita has been based at FloWave as part of IDCORE since 2021.
