Dr Callum Guy is one of the Experimental Officers here at FloWave responsible for working with clients from conception and planning through to testing, data packaging and reporting.
Callum completed a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University following an early career in the chemical industry, where he worked as a master technician responsible for the service and repair of heavy plant and road vehicles. Since graduating from his first degree, Callum entered the CDT for Wind & Marine Energy Systems as a PhD student in 2018, and partway through his studies in 2021, joined the FloWave team as a part-time Experimental Officer. Since completing his PhD in 2024, he has transitioned the role to full-time. Callum is an expert in turbine rotor modelling and has been the driver behind much of FloWave’s floating wind testing. Additionally, he is a complex motion capture specialist and an accomplished mechanical designer responsible for producing numerous tank test models.
