Dr Laura-Beth Jordan is one of the Experimental Officers at FloWave responsible for working with clients all the way from point of contact through to test programmes planning, implementation, testing, reporting and analysis.  
 
Laura completed an undergraduate degree in Geography at the University of Hull before progressing onto a PhD investigating the wake hydrodynamics of tidal turbines. Laura then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Germany, before joining FloWave in 2019. Laura has over a decade of tank testing experience and is a specialist in a wide range of instrumentation including motion capture and flow measurement technology. Laura is an expert in measuring flow hydrodynamics, particularly through the use of particle image/tracking velocimetry (PIV/PTV), with an interest in both waves and currents.
