  • Access is again available to FloWave for non-UK companies and groups through MaRINET2, the Marine Renewables Infrastructure Network. MaRINET2 is composed of 39 organisations who collaborate to progress offshore renewable energy technologies in Europe.

  • The EU-funded MaRINET2 project, in which FloWave participates, has launched its third call for applications today. Successful applicants will receive free access to a world-leading network of testing and research infrastructures.

  • FloWave will once again be demonstrating its role in the ocean energy industry as part of Doors Open Day on 29 September. Demonstrations will be running every half hour from 10am - 4pm and staff will be on hand to explain our work and the features of this impressive machine.

  • On Saturday 23rd September 2017 the FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility will join the research facilities at the University of Edinburgh’s King’s Buildings campus in welcoming members of the public ‘behind closed doors’ for the annual ‘Doors Open Day’.

  • The team at FloWave are very pleased to be awarded bronze in recognition of sustainable measures and practices introduced into its office operations during 2016.

  • FloWave’s world-leading marine energy testing facility is to become a fully integrated part of the University of Edinburgh – ensuring its continuation as a global centre of excellence in wave and tidal technologies.

  • Once again the team at FloWave are very pleased to announce their participation in the Horizon 2020 funded MaRINET2 trans-national access programme.

  • The project, a collaboration between the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney and FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility at the University of Edinburgh, began in 2012 with the aim of substantially improving the accuracy of replicating open ocean conditions at tank scale.

  • On Saturday 24th September 2016 the FloWave Ocean Energy Research Facility opened its doors for the annual ‘Doors Open Day’ at the King’s Buildings campus.
